About Us

Aromatic Coffee Express (ACE) was founded in 2008 in Verona, PA, by the husband-and-wife team of Joe and Carol Selvaggio.

Joe has worked in the coffee business since starting in 1983 at Old Time Coffee, which was owned by his brother, Tony. During his years at Old Time Coffee, Joe learned the office coffee service business from the inside out. His responsibilities initially entailed servicing customer accounts, including installing, maintaining and repairing equipment.

With his engaging personality, it quickly became clear that Joe had a knack for sales, and he soon transitioned into that role. Joe eventually became Regional Manager and helped build Old Time Coffee into one of the leading office coffee businesses in the area.

Joe left Old Time in 1993 to become Western Pennsylvania Sales Manager for Break Time Coffee, where he basically built an office coffee service business “from scratch,” expanding the customer base from two to nearly 2,000 in only seven years.

After leaving Break Time in 2000 to join Suntory Water Group, Joe was tasked with integrating Suntory’s new coffee division with its existing tri-state water delivery service. To spark the growth of the new division, Joe added more than 150 coffee and coffee-related products to Suntory’s product line, and he was responsible for a wide range of marketing innovations.

Suntory would eventually spin off its coffee division into Kentwood Coffee Services, where Joe served as Regional Division Manager. Joe left Kentwood in 2008 to join with Carol in founding Aromatic Coffee Express.
